Jinghang Xie
Founder and PI, at Imaginnovation Lab
Dr. Xie completed his PhD under the guidance of Dr. William K. Chan at the University of the Pacific, where his research revealed that the flanking sequences of dioxin response elements (DRE) play a pivotal role in shaping the distinctive regulatory mechanisms of Cytochrome P450 enzymes 1A1 and 1B1.
Before this achievement, he earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Life Science and Technology and a Master of Science in Microbiology and Biochemistry from China Pharmaceutical University. Dr. Xie's academic pursuits led him to join the esteemed lab of Dr. Jianghong Rao at Stanford Medicine as a postdoctoral research fellow in 2014. His contributions and dedication resulted in his subsequent appointment as an instructor in the Molecular Imaging Program at Stanford (MIPS) in 2020.
At present, Dr. Xie holds the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Molecular Physiology and Biological Physics at the University of Virginia School of Medicine, where he continues to contribute to the advancement of imaging technologies.
